‘Strongly Endorsed’ Judicial Privacy Bill Passes Congress in Memory of NJ Federal Judge’s Son | Law.com

U.S. District Judge Esther Salas of the District of New Jersey, who lost her only child when a gunman opened fire at her home, expressed her gratitude to Congress for passing the Daniel Anderl Judicial Security and Privacy Act, according to a press release issued by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

The bill, which was strongly endorsed by the Judicial Conference of the United States, cleared Congress on Thursday when the Senate voted 83-11 to pass the annual defense authorization bill with the judicial security bill attached. It now heads to President Joe Biden’s desk.
