State High Court Indefinitely Suspends Convicted Attorney for Stealing Nearly $130K From Client |

An Ohio attorney was indefinitely suspended from practicing law in the state following his criminal felony conviction for stealing nearly $130,000 from a former client, the Supreme Court of Ohio announced last week.

Dublin, Ohio, attorney Austin Roan Buttars was suspended from the practice of law for an interim period, effective March 1, after the Ohio Supreme Court previously indefinitely suspended him in April 2020 for overcharging and stealing more than $128,000 from a mentally ill client, identified as E.H. in court records.
