Not-Guilty Plea Entered for Tom Girardi, Whose Mental Competency at Issue |

A federal judge entered a not-guilty plea for Thomas Girardi on Monday to criminal charges of stealing at least $15 million from his clients.

Girardi, 83, appeared at an arraignment hearing in downtown Los Angeles wearing a purple sweater and slacks. He was joined by two federal public defenders and his brother, Robert Girardi, who agreed in court to sign an affidavit of surety as his conservator to post a $250,000 bond.
