Former Manhattan District Attorney Special Prosecutor Mark Pomerantz could face serious penalties—including disbarment and felony criminal charge—if his forthcoming book on the Trump investigation is found to have violated his ethical duties, a prosecutors group determined.
The potential consequences were laid out in a letter to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg from the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) on Friday. The letter, signed by APA President and CEO David LaBahn, is a response to an inquiry made by Bragg to the organization regarding the legal and ethical obligations of the former prosecutor turned author.
