Johnson & Johnson Unit Accuses Leading Plaintiffs’ Talc Expert of Fraud. |

Days before a key hearing in bankruptcy court, a Johnson & Johnson subsidiary accused a medical expert of falsifying parts of a report that plaintiffs lawyers have relied on in talcum powder cases.

The expert, Dr. Jacqueline Moline, who has testified before Congress about Johnson & Johnson’s baby powder, failed to disclose that at least five of the 13 individuals in her 2019 article were exposed to asbestos from sources other than cosmetic talc, according to a complaint filed on Dec. 16 by the subsidiary, LTL Management, now in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
