Holland & Knight on Wednesday announced its plans to combine with Nashville-based Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis.
The combination comes after months of rumors that both firms were in the midst of merger talks. Florida-based Holland & Knight raked in about $1.4 billion in revenue in 2021, while Waller reported revenues of $182 million the same year.
Combined revenue is not the only benefit from the deal. While Holland & Knight has offices all over the country, Waller has offices in Nashville, Austin, Birmingham and Chattanooga, giving both firms larger geographical footprints. Waller is also known for its health care practice, which is also a major industry in Florida.
Recently, the firm’s home town of Nashville has seen increased interest from national firms in the area’s healthcare sector, as large firms have begun moving into the city.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
