DoNotPay, the self-proclaimed World’s First Robot Lawyer, launched in 2015 to much acclaim, largely because it was using cutting-edge technology for a noble purpose: to bring consumer-facing legal services to the masses, many of whom go unrepresented. The potential for moving the needle on access to justice (A2J) was huge.

The company slowly built up its offerings over the years, providing assistance in hundreds of areas, from arguing down cable bills to fighting traffic tickets.
