Attorney Reprimanded Over Failure to Properly Memorialize Client Contract for In-Kind Construction Work | Law.com

An Oregon attorney has been reprimanded failing to memorialize the essential terms of a contract under which his clients agreed to perform construction work in lieu of paying legal fees.

In a Feb. 16 opinion, the Oregon Supreme Court affirmed the reprimand of Leonard Duboff for violating RPC 1.8 (a) after he entered into a business relationship with a client without getting essential terms in writing.
